Every parent at some point reads an ABC book to their kids. You know the type, A is for apple, B is for...bear, etc etc. These are great books to read to kids as it truly does help them learn letters and letter associations, but come on how fun are they to read?
I found one I really like. ABC A Child's First Alphabet Book by Alison Jay.
When I first saw it I fell in love with the vintage, crackled illustrations. It was just different and unique and the old look just made it seem like something your grandmother would have. But when I read it again I realized each page contained many things on it that began with the letter and it was fun to search for what other words began with the letter. Then I discovered that the word that was featured on the next page was actually part of the previous picture, so yet another thing to search for.So since you are going to have to suffer through an ABC book at some point, you might as well enjoy it too by reading Alison Jay's alphabet book.
i love the illustration in this book. thanks for the recommendation!
