One of the best things about road trips is all of the interesting things you see along the way. Did you know that there is a road named ZZyxz Road? No joke. You can read about it here.Did you also know that in Nevada they have signs about reporting drunk drivers, in Utah they have warning signs for drowsy drivers.
In California you can find a useful sign that states the following:
"Sick at home, pick up the phone! Nurse Advice Line" What a great service you may be thinking, but wait... there is NO phone number on the billboard.
And only in Utah, a home building company's incentive to buy a house, you will get free food storage!
It is great to be back home. I am currently sorting through and deleting a lot of the 659 pictures I took on my trip.. yeah a bit crazy I know.

ReplyDeletehahaha, ok, the food storage sign is really funny when you're not from here. i'm scared that i actually thought, "wow, how great is that?!" not that it's not great, b/c it is, just scary that i didn't see the humor in it as well. i love the 80mph speed limit signs on the way to vegas. and of course finding my name on signs. that is always fun:-)

My favorite sign is the one outside the town Virgin. That's all it says is 'Virgin'. I just had to get my picture with that! I'd love to say that I am from Virgin. hahahaha

I can't help but laugh. I've seen that exact sign and seem to always comment on it everytime we go visit California. And it's amazing the weird things you see when you go on a road trip...
ReplyDeleteThat is so weird that they have a road named after that! Have you read Fablehaven at all? The "demon prison" in the story is named Zzyzx. I know the author is from Utah so maybe that's where he got it from? Looks like you guys had a fun trip! I hope you stoked up on the Fry Sauce! I know I couldn't live without it!
