Just Say Yes

Lucas started blowing bubbles in his milk
giggles escaping from his mouth between blows
"Lucas" I started to say to chastise
But then I paused...
"Hold on, let me get my camera"

Then I took lots of pictures
and we smiled
it made a mess"just for Mom's pictures"
Lucas told dad
but it was worth it...

sometimes it's okay to say yes.

    Isn't that one of the best mantras for parenting (especially boys)?! My other one is: sometimes it's better to just close my eyes and not watch!! :)

    Mine have been into this lately too, now they think that they NEED a straw to drink milk.

    I am so with Mamma Christine, just close the eyes.

    Strawberry milk at best too. It is strawberry right? I mean it looks pink to me. Sometimes you just have to let a kid be a kid. Think of it as a science project for him to learn.

    Yep it is milk with Strawberry Quik.. so good! And do you know it adds calcium? :)

    I totally agree with this. You know, life it too short and too serious to say now to everything. Sometimes you just have to make a mess and laugh.

    I love it when I remember to enjoy the moment rather than worry about the mess.
