Lately I have gotten in a funk and I don't like how it feels.
So I have decided it is time for some change. First of all, don't be surprised if the look of my blog gets changed a bit here soon. Anyone want to give me a free custom makeover?? ;)
Secondly, and more importantly, I am going to be taking one day a week where I take extra time to be creative/play with my kids/enjoy this time in life. I will be doing this every Thursday.
Then starting next Wednesday, I will be posting pictures/ links/etc. and show you what we did the previous week. I know I will be scouring the internet for fun ideas, so I figured I would share them. These posts will replace the Kids Book Review Wednesday, though I bet some of our Thursdays will involve a story so the book suggestions won't totally end.
This time in life goes fast, so I am vowing to take a little extra time to plan ahead, to put on my creative cap and enjoy this time in life. And by typing this and posting this, well you guys can help ensure that I follow through with it.
P.S. Come back tomorrow for a fall give-away!!
I hope you feel better soon. I have been that way for a few weeks now and can't seem to get over it. I think I need a hobby. Focusing on seven kids and a needy husband all the time is wearing on me.
ReplyDeleteYou are a smart lady to take time to just be with the kids. They grow up so fast. I look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteMy most genuine advice to you is to make sure you're taking time for you, too. Kids sense when you need something they're not giving you. Take it from an expert :( I am looking forward to your new format. I enjoy following you and your precious family.
ReplyDeleteI think that is totally great. Come visit my blog for a possible halloween craft ideas you can do with your kids. I really think they will enjoy making the advent calendar. It's super easy and you can just use whatever you have in your house to make it. How cool is that!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to visit to see what you and the kids are up to!
There must be something in the air. Maybe we are simply tired of the heat(thankfully it seems to be cooling off!)Whatever it is, I hope we both feel better soon and I am looking forward to the make over on your blog. Hang in there!
