I'm Fired!
Not to brag, but I really do have a great husband. He works hard, he plays with the kids AND he cleans the bathroom. Yep, in the last 8 years I don't think I have cleaned a bathroom once. When we were first married we divided up the chores pretty evenly. Whoever got home from school or work first would make dinner. We both would pick up after ourselves. I would vacuum, he would mop. He did the laundry, I put the clothes away.
Once he graduated and got a real job I was blessed enough to be able to stay home. At that time a few more jobs shifted over to me.
Like dusting
Picking up the clutter
Doing the laundry Yep, let's just say it is a really good thing Eric loves me.
I think the fact that I almost always have dinner ready for him when he gets home helps him overlook some of my other jobs; the boy does like to eat.P.S Don't forget to write your meeting/love story for TOMORROW!!
Info about it here.
My BF is a clean FREAK!! I usually do the bathrooms and he usually takes care of everything else. LOL
ReplyDeleteYep, the way to a man's heart really is through his stomach ;)
ReplyDeletehahaha,so glad i had sean home with me last week to get all house all spick and span! i don't feel like it's ever been clean all at the same time ever!
ReplyDeleteI am a lousy housekeeper and Rich simply doesn't see the mess. Haha. Love your pics btw.
ReplyDeleteI'd say your Husband is definitely a keeper!! When all is said and done, a clean house really doesn't matter to someone who loves you. Fortunately, the DH doesn't see the mess in our place and trust me...it's fine by me!! Love the "dust me" photo ;)
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I struggle with the same things!!! love your laundry room pic--very true to life for most people!
ReplyDeleteWe're rocking the same dust and clutter. But I don't cook ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you two make a good team!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics but did you take them in my house?
ReplyDeleteMy hubby doesn't do bathrooms but over looks a lot when he has a full tummy. dinner at 530 when he walks in is better then a day spent cleaning.
Your dust picture reminds me of a friend who's hubby would write dates in the dust to see just how long it takes. so glad mine doesn't.
ADORABLE children you have. :) How sweet..
ReplyDeleteCute blog too.
I totally want to share my story... I so hope I remember! if not, feel free to email me :)

ReplyDeleteLOL hon..story of my life..I loved this post!! your clutter is about half of mine..your doing good!! You should see what my living room looks like at the end of a day of preschoolers and afterschool kids, dinner and my own family - yikes it's scary. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my husband doesn't mind messes. Because he has never cleaned a bathroom in the 8 years we have been married. And I don't clean them nearly enough.
ReplyDeleteHa, I feel you. I FINALLY did some major cleaning on Sunday: washed dishes, swiffered AND mopped (that's a biggie) aaaand I did laundry. That last one is a pain. Carrying a load up and down four flights of stairs and over to the laundromat is no fun. But a girl needs socks!
ReplyDeleteI've found that if your job includes doing housework, you're even less likely to do your own housework... Luckily, I also have a husband helper.
ReplyDeleteOh, what I'd give for a laundry pile that small. When mine gets that low, I am pretty excited. I would let my husband help out with it, but ever since he ruined an entire load of my clothing, he is no longer allowed access to the washer or dryer. Oh well, I needed an excuse to go buy some new clothes. Getting fat was also a good excuse.
ReplyDeleteThank you for making me feel so much better about my housekeeping skills! HAHA! I'll bookmark this post and show it to my husband whenever he complains about me!!!
ReplyDeleteI would pay John to clean our bathrooms. He cleans the shower stalls and tub/showers. That I refuse to do.
