That happened how?

Brick Pillar: 1
Eric: 0
Eric is the 11-year-old Scout leader at church. Last week they had a scavenger hunt type activity at the church.. but it gets dark really early these days. After they activity I believe they were playing tag (in the dark). Eric was chasing one of the boys and well....the pillar got in his way.

The pillar won.You can see where his scout shirt ended,
by the straight line at top.

Eric was trying to think of a good story to tell his co-workers. I suggested some deranged cat was attacking one of our kids and he saved the day.

His story involved a man with a gun and a hold up at the grocery store.

I told him they would never believe his story.

He didn't care.

No wonder why my kids like telling crazy stories.

Have you heard any good stories lately?

Plus I got an award from Sarah at Cottage Garden Studio
She created this award and gives it out to
1. To Bloggers who encourage and nurture others bloggers to explore and grow in their creative, spiritual or mental lives.
2. To Bloggers who are blooming and growing creatively, spiritually or mentally in their lives & sharing it on their blogs.

She wrote the following beautiful (but embarrassing) tribute:
"Yup I like Emmy too!! I follow a lot of women my own age and some follow me. I have a few young Moms - I love that! Emmy, well she is not only an amazing Mom..but an amazing woman!! She supports up all around her and offers such open comments and caring! I have watched her bloom on her blog and offer up real pieces of herself there. She is one of those young women you hope your daughters turn out to be!! I should be so blessed!! She is also someone I consider a friend!"
Thank you Sarah I was very honored.

  4. Ouch! I hope next time it is a softer pillar, or that he wins at least. In regards to the award, I think that is one of the sweetest things I have ever heard anyone say about anyone else! And the best part? It is all true.
