The Art of Nose Blowing

Did you know you have to teach kids just about everything? How to eat, how to go to the bathroom, how to wipe themselves (we are still working on that one)... and how to do this...Maybe if she was a little better at it, then she wouldn't end up like this
And the couch, the floor and I wouldn't end up covered in vomit because of all of the snot buildup.

Hope your days is going well.

  1. I wrote a post once about how my son didn't learn to blow his nose until he hit college. I'm not kidding!

  4. Oh you can always flush their noses with Saline! I had more than one Ped tell me this. Yeah, you want to give it a go!? I dare ya doc! haha. Poor little thing. :(

  5. my kids cannot blow their noses (and they are 12, 10 & 6) I didn't realize this until a couple of days ago -- they just kind of breathe into the tissue. I was shocked -- it just feels like something I've always known how to do. Oh, and if for no other reason, anyone who cleans up vomit should receive an automatic pass to the Celestial Kingdom. I.Just.Can't.Do.It.

I hope everyone is feeling better soon!

  12. Nose blowing is so hard for them. My oldest picked it up quickly and early. My youngest doesn't have a clue.

  16. Awww...hope everyone is better now.

And I hear you ... I never realized how challenging it would be to teach some things I take for granted. Like it took two weeks to teach my Little One how to spit out water!!! It was crazy.

  17. Just to clarify... I taught him to spit water to help him brush his teeth ... not to spit on people!
