So, Eric and Lucas decided that Saturday would be the day they would do it. They scoured the internet for ideas, and found this great site Stormthecastle.com that had a video and instructions on how to build a catapult. You can find the instructions here.
So off to Lowe's, blueprints in Lucas' hand. Eric said throughout the store Lucas told everyone and anyone that would listen that they were going to build a catapult. And then the fun began.Another trip to Lowe's and a hour or so later and success!
And I made a video which shows all of the fun, which I must admit I am quite proud of. There is music on it, just in case your little ones are sleeping or boss is listening. :)
Enjoy the little video of the Catapult Adventures.
Such a great post, Emmy! I loved the last picture the best. That is what a father and son relationship is all about. Seriously!
ReplyDeleteOh, and your new blog design is quite fabulous! :)
What an awesome project.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun. Time to storm the castle.
ReplyDeleteYou should be proud of it. That was a great video!
ReplyDeleteHe is so creative. My youngest son just took at test in Jr. High about aptitude and 6 out of 10 of the jobs listed were some kind of engineer. He is constantly building things and taking things apart and re-assembling them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great video! You're lucky to have such a talented husband!! Looks like a fun day!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! What a great project.
ReplyDeleteGreat video! It looks like they had so much fun:)
ReplyDeleteEric, you rock! Emily, you do too for documenting the whole thing! I love it! And of course the power saw would die! And I'm glad Ethan isn't the only one to plug his ears when the power tools turn on!
ReplyDeleteSO AWESOME!!
That is so cool! And even more so that Eric didn't just buy the stuff and build it while Lucas was asleep or something. Actually getting him involved. That is neat. You rocked on the video.
ReplyDeleteEmmy, that project is amazing. From the planning stage to execution having the kids involved is priceless. Kudos to you and hubs, too. Developing all aspects of your children's intelligence, creativity, and joy. I am once again amazed.
