Why do I get annoyed that the toilet paper is on wrong for half of the day before changing it?
Why do I trip over the same coat/shoe/book three times before picking it up?
Why do I let one thing after the next pile up on the counter, when I know my husband really doesn't like it?
Why do I sometimes look for anything else to do other than play with my kids?
Why do I wait until the laundry is piled up so high before finally doing the wash?
Why?
Well, because I am me.
In all my imperfect glory.
Why do I take the time to figure out new crafts and activities for my kids to do?
Why do I try to have a homemade dinner ready almost every night when Eric gets home?
Why do I allow the kids to take off the couch cushions and blankets from their beds in the name of making a fort/mountain/slide?
Why do I love my kids completely even if I don't always like them so much?
Why?
Well, because I am me.
That was so imperfectly glorious that it should be published. LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this! I can't decide if I love the photo or the text more...Hmm...Both are splendid!
ReplyDeleteThat is the coolest shot! Fits perfectly with your reflection theme.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you're not alone, I do many of those things on your list!
That was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you come up with these things?! I love it!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I love how you put two meme's in one post. It fit nicely.
ReplyDeleteMy reflections of me could practically mirror yours. Except, Rich isn't bothered by a cluttered counter. I am. So, why do I just dump things here and there when it bugs me?
Why do I let my kids run like wild animals through out the house, when really I wish they would be quiet for a change.
And exactly like you, why do I love them sooo very much even tho there are times I don't like them that much?
Some of these things are imperfections, but some of them are perfect love.
This is just so perfect. LOVE the photo. :)
ReplyDelete"In all my imperfect glory" is so inspiring! I really need that today. Thank you!

So few words- such a HUGE impact! Awesome awesome post (and I hear you about the toilet paper!)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!!
That was a really terrific post...I love the things you do for your children and hubby...especially the taking cushions off the couch. That says so much about you and the kind of mother you are. I so agree that it's important to let our kids be kids...but find so many other moms so concerned about material things and their possessions...
ReplyDeleteI loved this. So real. And so true. me too. I just looked at the laundry and said, I think I can wait one more day... I don't know why I think that since it is like a mountain, but I do : )
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of you. What a great shot!
That is the perfect post to go with that perfect shot. Loved every bit of it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to know I am not the only one that does those things too! LOL! I really like the picture- so creative!
