All day yesterday I kept thinking about the easy Friday post I would have. As you see today would be the day that Ryder turned 5 months old, so I could just do his 5 month picture and call that good. And then about halfway through the day I suddenly remembered that Ryder was born on the 14th, not the 15th. Opps! Poor kid has not even had his first birthday yet and I am already forgetting when he was born.
So since he turned 5 months old yesterday, I did take his 5 month shot which I can share today anyway, because hey it is my blog.
And well I just couldn't decide between these two, so you get both.
Speaking of birthday's, this next week will be my last year in my 20's. Yep, Monday the 25th I will be the big 30. Some may dread this birthday, but personally I am looking forward to it. Now whenever anyone says "you don't look old enough to have three kids" I can say-with as much attitude as possible, "I am thiiiiirrrteee". Thirty just sounds so much older than 29.
When I really stop and think about it though, it is kind of weird.. I mean I am going to be 30!
Plus this upcoming week I will be heading out to Chicago for my little sisters wedding! I am so excited for her. I haven't actually met her fiance in real life yet, but I have texted, facebooked and talked with him on the phone, plus he made my Status Quote this last time around, so yeah I guess he is a good enough guy for her. She is 26, but I think I still think of her as 14... but then that would make me 18...which is how old people think I look anyway, so hey maybe she really is just 14. When/if she has kids (no pressure sis-it is your life--though I did have two kids when I was 26 ;P), she probably won't get people saying she looks too young to have kids.
I hope you have a great weekend. Tomorrow I will be posting the next recipe for the month. Also, don't forget you have until late Sunday to enter my giveaway!
Your little man has done some growing!!! He is just too cute for words. Happy early birthday! I'll be turing the big 30 in a matter of a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteOh man, Ryder is cuter in every picture. I think I need another video of him please! :)
ReplyDeleteHave fun at with your family and enjoy the wedding! How exciting!!
Don't worry, I forgot Jayce's birthday a mere MONTH after he was born! At least you made it 5 whole months! LOL I think he will forgive you! Those pictures are great! He is changing so much! He looks so handsome and chunky! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAround here we are excited because My hubby is 29 now... we called this birthday his 30-1 birthday because it was more fun! Starting in January we will be calling it "Charlie Turns 30 This Year". Can you tell he is the first to turn 30 out of our group! LOL
Glad I'm not the only one who gets the slightly rude comments about not looking old enough to have kids. I had one old lady approach me and say "I hope you are their babysitter. You are much to young to be a mother." Wow, thanks lady. Glad you are the mother-appropriate-age police! Ugh!
Enjoy the wedding!
What a cute, chunky monkey! It looks like he is laughing in the second one.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big he's getting! I love that second picture too! That face could mean so many different things! It's hard to believe you'll be 30! You definitely don't look it! Of course I don't look my age either. We'll appreciate it even more down the road!
ReplyDeleteI was the same way. I was so happy to turn 30. Then I got carded on my birthay and it made it even better. I'm 13 months from 40, and I'm not sure I'm quite as excited this time.
ReplyDeletedarling!! really really cute baby...and i am sure he will forgive you AND you still have a few months to get it right, before his big FIRST birthday.
ReplyDelete30 was rough for me too...i turn 40 in April, i think i will celebrate it instead of dreading it like i did my 30th...amazing what 10 years can do for ya!
besides, one can NEVER have toooo many birthdays, right? the alternative kinda sucks.
Look at Ryder! He's got all the darling baby chubbiness! He is so cute!
ReplyDeleteIs the whole family going to Chicago? That is a lot of people to pack for! Have a great time!
I had 3 kids by the time I was 29 too!
LOVE that second picture, he is so cute! :) And he's getting so big, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat second one makes me laugh too and I don't laugh easily at baby pictures. Welcome to your 30's. They really aren't that bad - besides all the new found aches you seem to discover.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, look at all that delicious chub! He is so precious, and I am in love with him.
ReplyDeleteAnd you have been super busy. I am sure he will understand. :)
P.S. I think it is funny, I am turning 29 on the 20th. Our birthdays are so close!
ReplyDeleteHe is stinkin' adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteAAHHHHH!! I bet you get comments everywhere you go about how darling he is.
ReplyDeleteSo stinkin cute.
ReplyDeleteLook at that little chunky man! So cute!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the 30s!
Aw He's so cute!!! So chubby! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments on my blog! I was happy to link up with the Facebook statuses. I never knew that my friends were actually funny until I started copy and pasting them!
About the fondant... Have you ever made your own?! It's so much better than store bought. My mom made an extra owl for the top of the cake and I ate probably half of it.. or more. haha!
Hope you have a great weekend!
I love these ... but the second one is so pleasing and funny! He looks like a really happy kid!
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't have my son until I was 36!!!!! That just amazes me how widely varied someone's motherhood experiences can be!
Happy early birthday!
Oh, he looks totally adorable and very healthy. Love the laugh!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics...thanks for that beautiful little baby. He's a charmer like his brother.
