Some people don't like when their food touches.
Some people aren't fans of casseroles-they like their food separate.
When I make taco salad, Lucas likes his meat, chips, cheese and sour cream all separate and not mixed together. I allow it, as it is just as easy to dump piles of the stuff on his plate as it is to mix it together and if it means he will eat it, then so be it!
And well, then there is Alex.
Here she is eating-
eating a hot dog right?
Ummm kind of....
Let me show you a close up view of what she made herself for dinnerYep, cause everyone puts their pasta and peas and carrots on their hotdog right?
Does anyone you know eat weird combinations? Maybe you?

I don't mind if it's separate or together, but I do have a BIL who eats all of one thing before he moves onto the next. It's so crazy!
ReplyDeleteThat is funny, my son is the same with not wanting to mix foods. So picky....
ReplyDeleteThat pasta looks good, did you put herbs in it?
I need the recipe, the only thing I make with pasta is spaghetti sauce...BORING
P.S. - I am your swap partner YAY and I've already started stalking your blog and pinterest. Can you tell I'm excited?
P.S. That last comment was me
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteBuddy likes to eat cheese and jelly sandwiches. A slice of colby jack cheese, butter, and strawberry jelly. My mom introduced him to it. Thanks mom.
Ha! That's cute. Punky always asks if she can put honey or maple syrup on her eggs. GROSS. I don't allow it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was pregnant I could eat just pickles and mustard on a bun.
Much better than a picky eater!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. And agree with Shell, much better than a picky eater, like I have. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Well that is one way that Ethan and Alex are not alike! :). Ethan won't even eat ketchup on his hotdog, just plain!
ReplyDeleteRich, Kristin, and Ryan all eat hot dogs PLAIN! BLEAH! I don't think mine would look quite like Alex's creation, but you gotta give her chops for that masterpiece! haha
ReplyDeleteUm, that's gross. lol! It's amazing what kids will and will not eat. My little girl would put ketchup on everything if I let her. Nasty. :D
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid, I would take the leftover pancakes and smear them with bean dip. My family still makes fun of me for those.
ReplyDeleteThat is disgusting and wonderful. At least she's eating it!
ReplyDeleteMy kids would devour something like that and then tell me how nasty a quesadilla is with beans AND cheese together is.
Kids are nuts, but hilarious.
Oh precious Alex! You are a one-of-a-kind! (looks good to me....)
ReplyDeleteHey, at least she got some veggies in there, lol!
ReplyDeleteSorta makes my stomach hurt....LOL.
ReplyDeleteAlex ROCKS!! I love it when kids will eat anything - those are the fun ones to feed.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I have never seen peas, carrots and pasta on a hot dog but if she likes it I say go for it. It all goes to the same place and gets mixed up anyway - hee hee :-D
Maybe she's gonna be a chef. Recently on the Today show, they were all a flutter about putting mac-n-cheese on a hot dog. Not that far off...
ReplyDeleteHaha! Too funny! I think the weirdest thing I did was mix kit kats in strawberry ice cream at Coldstone was I was pregnant.
ReplyDeleteIt all ends up in the same place, so if she likes/eats it all the better. I like my food the " normal" way.
ReplyDeleteUsually I'm right with your Alex while my children would align themselves with your Lucas, but that is taking it a step too far even for me! Made me laugh, though!
ReplyDeleteI'm for whatever works. My son once dipped grapes in ketchup!
ReplyDeleteKids are so funny about food!! My son was caught dipping his already syrup'd pancakes in ketchup that was given to him for his hashbrowns. Huh!? ew... gotta love this fun stage!
ReplyDeleteShe is a creative one... but I'm glad I don't have to sample that particular combination :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband makes fun of me for dipping french fries in a Frosty at Wendy's. But I've run into lots of people that like it.
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious. She'd make a good mid-western woman :)
ReplyDeleteWe all love our casseroles!
That's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteNo matter what my father was eating for dinner, he'd mix it all together and eat it like that! Yikes!
HA! Love it. That's better than a kid I know who likes NOTHING to touch!!!!
ReplyDelete1/2 of my kids LOVE raw onions. Not a combo but pretty weird!
