He Drew What on an iPad?

A Dinosaur
A Prince and Princess
A LionA Train

An Elephant

A shark

What do all of these pictures have in common?

They all made my kids super happy and are very special to my kids.

Why?

Because their grandpa Poppie drew all of these pictures on his iPad.

Did I mention he's an engineer?

I thought engineers weren't supposed to be so creative and artistic.

Thanks Poppie-the kids love them!

  5. I have seen my FIL (also an engineer) spend an eternity drawing a circle! These pictures are amazing. How did he do that? With his hands? A special pen? Very cool.

  13. Thanks for the unsolicited publicity Em. I really was not expecting or seeking any such thing though.

To answer a few of the questions. I have several aps that I use, but most are done with an iPad ap cal 'ArtStudio'. It cost 99 cents and it never has a dull pencil, never runs out of paint, and never makes a mess. I draw them free hand using my finger(s), mostly my index finger. Most are just out of my head, though I have sometimes checked clip art and pictures to get ideas and then drawn my own versions (which I did for Princess Leia who is not on the blog).

Most of all I am just glad the kids like them. I do like to doodle and it is great to have grandchildren for fans.

  21. Wow! Those are so cool! Does it take even more special talent to do it on an ipad? Seems like it would be harder than just drawing.
