Teaching the Hard Lessons

Every parents knows at some point they are going to have to have "the talk" with their kids. And in today's world- this talk often has to come sooner than we realize- as I know I would rather have my kids hear it from me than learn it from their friends.

Some subjects just seem hard to teach and hard to know how to approach them. So when I heard about some videos that the Sun Swing Media Company is working to produce I was definitely interested.

They sent me their first video called "The Decision" which shows what some kids do when they encounter (p)ornography.

I must admit the first time I watched it, I loved the lesson it taught but thought the graphics were a bit cheesy. But then I showed it to my children and the discussions that ensued and the the things we were able to discuss made it totally worth it and I am excited to see what video they produce next.

The Sun Swing Media company has received permission from The Church of Jesus Christ to turn many stories from the kids' magazine The Friend into these movies, and hope to have 30 movies when they are all finished.
