We all want our kids to be kind, courteous, polite and have good manners. So at dinner when Alex was standing there taking care of an itch I couldn't be more proud. And when I asked her to remove her hands from the back of her pants and she asked why, I told her that was not something you do at the dinner table and it was not polite. Followed by a comment from me that I was so happy I had such polite children.
And how did Alex then respond?
With a burp.
Yep- proud proud mommy.
What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?
Ha! I seriously love Alex. She sounds so much like me when I was little. And hey, I didn't turn out too bad. ;-)

That's good stuff right there! Your kids make me laugh each and every time!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh - a burp would be considered a verbal response in this household! ;)
ReplyDeleteSilly girl!
Oh lordy I can relate. I asked Deaglan what we say after we toot and he responded with Excuse-toot. Sheesh.
