"Time to go unload the dishwasher" I reminded Alex.
She went right over to do it. I smiled, happy with how well our new family economy system was working out.
It was so nice not having to do it all myself and nice not having to remind the kids a million times as that was part of the system.
I heard the silverware cling into the drawer. I came into the kitchen to help clean up a few things.
"What are you doing?" I squealed.
There was Alex putting away the silverware....
with her mouth.
She looked up at me confused wondering what was so bad about her new cleaning method.
I quickly grabbed all of the forks from the silverware drawer and put them into the sink and we had yet again another little talk about germs.
Ah, so glad to have such great helpers.
What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?
Bless her heart... good on her for trying to help though! x
ReplyDeleteHaha love it.
ReplyDeleteI am proud that the kids have been helping to pick up their messes instead of mommy doing it!
Too funny!!!!! :o) She cracks me up!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll have one up tomorrow!!!
At least she tried.
ReplyDeleteWashing the dishes is one of my daughter's jobs. Sometimes she does a great job, other times not. It's frustrating, but it's still 1 less thing I have to do.
Darn. I just can't figure out how to do it. It's on my blog but, the link doesn't show up as anything. :( I am learning....slowly.

ReplyDeleteOkay. I figured it out. Okay, I lied. My husband helped me. It has to be on HTML when written it out. :)
Lol that is hilarious!!! I always wonder what goes through little kids brains haha!
ReplyDeleteOh that is so hilarious. Not so much for you, but for me. :) I can't wait until I can {hopefully} trust my daughter to help me with the dishes. It will be so nice!
ReplyDeleteYikes! That's so funny. I probably would have freaked out a bit!
ReplyDeleteMy proud mommy moment this week is that my 6-year-old has started making breakfast for us by getting some things out and putting them on the table. This morning my "breakfast" was a bag of brussel sprouts! :)
I hear ya! Curly can't seem to understand why we need to rewash that bowl he just carried to the cupboard on his head!
ReplyDeleteSandy
Ha ha so close you were! Alex is very creative trying to shake up the chore a little bit :)
ReplyDeleteLOL! Nice she was willing to help--I'm impressed with her creativity!
ReplyDeleteHahaha... sounds like something my step-daughter would do. What's up with that... LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh to be a kid again!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is SOOOOO FUNNY!!!!!
Hey, she was helping ;-)
That's an LOL right there!
ReplyDeletehaha! And that's why I can barely let my kids help with anything. I'm too uptight! I wonder how many things like that happen that we don't catch . . . :)
ReplyDeleteROFL! That is awesome! I can't stop laughing. What a character.
ReplyDeleteHA! Yeah, that sounds about right. I've had to remind Punky a few times not to wipe her face on the dish towel while she's putting away the dishes. Shudder.
ReplyDeleteHilarious.
This sounds all to familiar! My daughter very much so enjoys acting like the dog! I have found her a few times using her mouth for things! Got love those moments! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJust trying to make a boring chore fun... lol!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I'm proud that you didn't scream & yell cause that's what I probably would have done. And then therapy's involved and that's never good. ;)
ReplyDeleteBut...she might be my little sister. My dad's idea of doing the dishes is licking them "clean" and then putting them back in the drawer! I've even seen him do it with plates! Gross...and he's totally offended that we wash dishes & utensils before eating at his house. Really?!?
!!! So funny!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe she's trying to tell you that it's not a good idea to ask her to help, lol!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love how kids like to reinvent the wheel when helping out? Too cute!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that! Seriously, who else thinks of doing things like that, out side of kids?!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet. She was only trying to help.
ReplyDeleteAlex definitely gets an A in creativity!
ReplyDeleteThat is a unique way to put away dishes.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Too funny that she didn't think there was anything wrong with that method!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I love Alex. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteYou got to give her props for technique ;) She is too funny!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! That is awesome.
