Two weeks- two weeks from today school starts for my kids! What in the world?? Where did summer go? Not only is two-weeks when school starts again but it is is Alex's first day of kindergarten! It is just going to be Ryder and I at home during the day.
The other day we got Lucas' lunch menu in the mail. It really is happening. Last summer I seemed to count down the days until school started again- this summer I am freaking out about it a bit. I have loved summer. I have loved being able to sleep in if we want, sit around some days just because and especially the fact that there was no homework!
I think if it wasn't for the homework factor I wouldn't dread school at all.
So while I continue to panic and freak out a bit- I may be a bit hit and miss these next two weeks- as two weeks, that is all we have left!
But I still do need to recap our Utah trip, show you my SIL's belly shoot, tell you about our beach trip and ten million other things.
Wow- I need more time.
When does school start for you? Are you ready for it or dreading it like me?
I am absolutely floored about the two weeks. Can't get over it!
ReplyDeleteUgh, here too. Except I go back to school a week before my kiddo. I'm ready for her to go back, but not me!!
ReplyDeleteBuddy starts school next Wednesday. I can hardly believe it.
ReplyDeleteOf course, the only difference school is to me is the homework. We still do daycare, routines, etc. during the summer.
Awww little Alex will do so great in school! Nolan starts MDO so I'm nervous just about that I can't imagine full out school!
ReplyDeleteI am feeling the same way for many different reasons! It is my oldest son's first year of Kindergarten and I work in the system as a school counselor so I am NOT ready to go back. The good news is I will have some alone time with my youngest on the days I'm off.
ReplyDeleteThat seems so quick! Do they have several breaks? I don't go back until the 16th, but I do have an orientation on the 15th. I can't believe it's almost over!
ReplyDeleteThat is SUPER early for school to start!! Wow. Good luck with all that Emmy. :)
ReplyDeleteWhere did the summer go? Crazy. I am actually excited for school for my little ones. Granted it is preschool, butseeing how much Keith blossomed last year, how can i not be excited? Good luck to you! So glad school doesn't start until the end of August here, though.
ReplyDeleteWe don't start until 8/27, which is a week late for us, and then we go into the first week of June, which is also a week late. I can't ever remember Texas going into June for the school year. I'm glad I have the extra time to get everything ready though. I'm completely unprepared.
ReplyDeleteUm yeah, freaking out is what I'm doing too! Ethan starts in three days . . . aaaaaah!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the photo shoot pics!!!
I think we're down to 4 weeks. I should check.
ReplyDeleteWe are so excited to eat PIZZA at school. It's the little things.....
How exciting to have a kindergartner! :). Best wishes to Alex! In Texas we start the last week in August-which is a week later than usual this year. I work at a school and I have to be back at work pretty soon so I'm excited for a new year, but always terribly miss the summer!
ReplyDeleteOnly two weeks?! It doesn't seem like school should be starting yet. I don't have to think about school for my little guy until next year.
ReplyDeleteWow, two weeks! Holy cow, no wonder why you're freaking out! We don't start until after Labor Day. Good thing Target already has some school supplies on sale!
ReplyDeleteWow, gosh I think we have about a month...yup. Sigh. I love summer. Although I work, it's nice to come home and not hit the homework right away and rush, rush, rush. Ugh. Good luck! XO
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks?!?! Wow... we still have over a month left! The kids don't go back until the Tuesday after Labor Day .... and I am looking forward to it too!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the summer has gone by so fast! Wow! You have only two weeks left.
ReplyDeleteI dread school ALL year round! First day of summer I'm already dreading the last day!
ReplyDeleteI have one thing to say... lucky! ;-)
ReplyDeletei'm totally freaking as I've got nothing organized at all
ReplyDeleteMy kids don't go back until the end of August. I'll be doing school shopping in two weeks.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm jealous jealous jealous! We don't start until September 6th!!!
ReplyDeleteYikes.
ReplyDeleteSo out of the school thinking.
But I remember the frantic pace of getting ready for it.
Yep, it's the same here - 2 weeks! It's pretty incredible how quickly this went by! Enjoy your time before afternoons become filled with homework help, lunch-packing, and early bedtimes!! :o)
ReplyDeleteA little less than a month. Not ready. Don't want to think about it. Too much going on right now anyway. haha.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for a great school year.
