many of you were wondering how small my feet were.
Actually the correct question should have been how big my son's feet are.
I am quite average, coming in right around 5'5" with size 7 to 7 1/2 feet. The average size shoe in the United States for women is 8 (for men 10 1/2). In fact approximately 68% of American women wear shoes between 6 1/2 and 9 1/2.
My seven-year-old, his feet currently come in at a size 3.
He definitely takes after his daddy more than he does me. And his daddy- well here are my feet by my husbands.
The average shoe size for a adult man in the US is 10 1/2
Eric, his feet come in at a whopping 15.
So yes, there is a reason I say Lucas will probably pass me up before he is out of elementary school. But have no doubt- I may be the smallest- but I will still be in charge.
Hee hee, love it! I wouldn't mind feeling like I had tiny feet. :)
ReplyDeleteSize 15!!! Wow!!! He's got my middle son beat and that kid has big feet!
ReplyDeleteWhat!!!! A 15!!!! I thought my daughter's feet were big. She's a size 12 in men and I'm a 10 1/2 in women. Wow! Yes your son will paa you up.
ReplyDeleteHa! That last picture is hilarious. My 8 year old- who just turned 8 last week- wears a size 5. He too is going to be a big boy.
ReplyDeleteReally.... the average for women is an 8?!?! That means that I am above average because I wear an 11, right?
ReplyDeleteYes I say he will pass you up soon!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute post. You are so creative. I'm above average with whopping size 10feet. I think my kids will be the same poor guys.
ReplyDeleteHow cute your feet and your 7 year old!
Elly can wear my flip flops...I wear a 7. She constantly is wearing them and my socks. Grrrr. =)
ReplyDeleteSize 15?!? Do they even sell those in the store??
ReplyDeleteMaintain your supremacy in spite of small feet. Here, here! :)
ReplyDeleteI am not short but tall and I know that my sons will be towering over me probably when they reach their teens.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow there's a huge difference between your feet and your husbands feet!
ReplyDeleteToo funny!!
ReplyDeleteI wear a size 8 and without even doing the research or reading your post, I knew it had to be the most popular size, because I can't ever find the shoes I want in my size, let alone those on sale or clearance!
We have a friend that has really big feet (he's very tall). When he needs to buy shoes, he walks into the store and before looking, he just asks what styles they have in his size.
I thought that picture of yours and your husband's feet was Eric and Lucas's feet. They are huge! Wow. Yeah i think Lucas will quickly surpass you. And yes, you will always be the one in charge. Hee hee. :)
ReplyDelete15?? Really it's interesting.

ReplyDeleteDang those are some big ol feet your hubby has! I bet he has trouble finding shoes. I'm a 6.5 and it's so common I have trouble finding shoes at times.
ReplyDeleteI can still remember the year Eric's feet took off...from a 10 in the Spring, to a 12 by June, to a 14 by August. And then they just kept on going. I wear an 11...what can I say. We do big in our family...And YES, Emily...the mama will always still be in charge...Go Emmy!
ReplyDeleteSize 15! Wow! I have tiny feet (5 1/2) and I have to sometimes buy my shoes in the little girl aisle. It's kind of sad at times.
