I am still in the child in diaper, child spills on them-self, child is hungry and needs a snack stage... in other words I usually need to pack everything but the kitchen sink. So when I was contacted by the owner of Simply Bags to see if I would like to try out one of their custom tote bags, well I was more than happy to oblige.
Simply Bags is a husband and wife owned company who makes- well simply bags. To name just a few, they make everything from personalized totes, cosmetic bags, college bags (even a BYU one!), diaper bags, kids bags and even bags for men!
One of their many diaper bags |
I received a turquoise custom tote bag. This bag is huge! The inside is one big pouch however there is a side zipper pocket inside and two slip pockets-that would be perfect for slipping my phone into. It has a magnetic button snap top to help close it up a bit.
I don't really know materials- but whatever the inside is made of is definitely a material that would easily wipe clean from any spilled Cheerios or leaking sippy cups (or you could even throw wet towels in it if you were using it as a beach bag). It feels really durable- I even tugged on the straps for a while and they are sewn in good.
And of course there are the monogrammed initials- beautiful. This bag is rather large- as it is supposed to be; so while it isn't going to be my day to day bag it has become my designated library book bag-- we routinely leave the library with up to 30 kids books as each kid wants to pick out their books and this bag can do the duty well!
I am very impressed with the bag I was sent and after looking through their site I have a list of bags I would love to get!
Are you a bag person? What is your vice?
P.S. Tomorrow is the last day of the month-- so TOMORROW is Ten Things to Smile About this Month. Your chance to look back at the month and find ten things, whatever they may be- even a new tote- that made you smile. More info here.
Disclaimer: I was provided with a tote bag to review-- all feelings and opinions are truthful and my own.
I'm not necessarily a bag person, but I do like to have one or two good bags that I can use when I need them.
ReplyDeleteI need to start my search for a new diaper bag. I should probably check Simply Bags out.
cute bag but have to admit I hate carrying bags and purses
ReplyDeleteCome Say HI
Those bags are SO cute! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have a nautical looking tote from them and it's also huge. I absolutely LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteJust like my Grandma Jo...I love SHOES! I have a hard time finding a size to fit me, but I still love them. She did too. And until she could only wear sturdy shoes, she had quite the collection! haha
ReplyDeleteI am a bag person all the way. I was just looking at their site and I am in love!
ReplyDeleteOh I am a bag and shoe person! That tote looks fab, might be great for a=hauling stuff to the beach in the summer too:)
ReplyDeleteYep, bags and shoes, I love them both!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very useful bag, and I like the color. I like bags and purses and I have to be very self-disciplined so that I don't get too many. Right now I'm transitioning from a bigger bag to a smaller one with more structure but that still holds everything I need. I've had a lot of luck at Target!
ReplyDeleteyou know, I've not been a bag person, but I recently attended a thirty-one bag party and it charmed me more than I expected! Even got 2 little zipper bags in cool material. So I confess, I guess I'm ok with bags ;). Yours looks so wonderfully big- you could go to the library and a picnic and still have room in there to pack things!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bag, shoe, and sunglasses person because my mom taught me those three items can be worn EVERYDAY so a little more investment is worthwhile. I got the diaper bag I use at the LA downtown sample sale (last Friday of the month) and have loved it every minute. I still am using it, and have even brought it with me to a bar (though I hit a lot of people just standing there with it) LOL. My problem with bags and shoes is learning how to give 'em up and stop hoarding. Very VERY hard.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful bag! lol, I use a backpack when we know we'll be out for a long time. It's way effective and functional. That's probably what kind of a thing I'd recommend too, though Indiana Jones does have a very cool satchel!
ReplyDeleteMy vice... my body, it's my focus.
My dad has always claimed I was a bag lady... LOL :)
ReplyDeleteThat bag does look like the perfect library book bag! I'm glad to know that there is someone else who allows their children 30 plus books at the library. Most of my friends think I'm nuts.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new bag!
Love the bag! I have many vices! Bags....big bags, shoes and jewelry.
ReplyDeleteGreat bag! And really, I am such a bad friend! I can't believe I haven't been by to visit in more than a month! I have thought about you often, and am so glad you are doing well. I would like to go back and read more of your posts, but honestly, I am completely pooped. Tired. And tomorrow is Faye's birthday, so hopefully I will be able to just start being a more frequent visitor and not have to back track like this anymore. Forgive my absence?
