Proud Mommy Moments: Report Cards

Ready for the good the bad and the funny?  It's Proud Mommy Moment Time! This is your weekly chance to brag about the awesome things your kids, nieces, nephews, etc did and no one will judge because we told you to. Or you can do the opposite and tell us about those moments your kids made you so "proud"- i.e. something totally embarrassing but hey it makes for great blog material!  Please grab the button for your post and visit my co-host Kmama.

Every Thursday!

My kids have been in school for almost two complete months now- we started the first week in August.  So far this seems to be a great school year for my two oldest- other than the time when Alex cried all day when her star was turned.

So when I got the note saying progress reports would be coming home soon I wasn't too worried.

Lucas came home with all O's or O+ (O for outstanding- they get to the actual A, B, C's etc next year).  Alex's report was a list of different skills she was tested on.  The box on the left told what they were tested on, the box on the right told what they missed.  The first two pages of the report made me wonder if they had forgotten to fill out her form as she knew it all!  She did miss a few things, recognizing some random numbers like 17, 23 and a few others and she didn't know what a cylinder was- but otherwise she knew it all.  But the part that made me most proud was for her behavior- which was circled Outstanding and then the teacher wrote "She is a pleasure to have in class"

It was a very proud mommy moment.

What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?

  9. I think that's one of the best compliments a mom can be given, that your child is a pleasure to have in class, or over at their house, or wherever. Good for her, and for you!

  10. I think that is the best feeling when you get a compliment from a teacher about the kids good behavior and it being a pleasure to have in class. Sounds like a fantastic report card as well.
