Proud Mommy Moments: Faith in Trials

Ready for the good the bad and the funny?  It's Proud Mommy Moment Time! This is your weekly chance to brag about the awesome things your kids, nieces, nephews, etc did and no one will judge because we told you to. Or you can do the opposite and tell us about those moments your kids made you so "proud"- i.e. something totally embarrassing but hey it makes for great blog material!  Please grab the button for your post and visit my co-host Kmama.

Every Thursday!

When challenges and trials come it is often so hard to find the good in them.   Many adults (including myself) can hardly do this and often will have their faith shaken during a trial.   I try my best to have faith and look for the good in everything and hope that I pass this along to my kids.

A few days ago Lucas got a bloody nose- which is unfortunately a pretty common occurrence for him.   We were able to quickly stop it and then went about our day.   That evening when we were getting the kids ready for bed Lucas' seemed to be taking an extra long time to get ready for bed.   Eric went to check on him and found him standing over the sink now full of blood as his nose was bleeding again- this time much worse.

Eric helped him get in under control and cleaned Lucas up.

"Dad" Lucas began, "I prayed to Heavenly Father that I wouldn't get a bloody nose while I was sleeping.  So I guess it's good it happened now."

Now that my friends- is faith in the time of trials.

I am a very proud mama.

What is your Proud Mommy Moment this week?

P.S. Janette's and my monthly #Photoaday recap will be on Monday!  So get your pictures ready to link up then.

  4. That is so neat. We can learn so much from our children! Their wisdom is born of such a pure, undiluted faith.

  13. That makes my heart warm. So precious. Really, there is something to be said about having the faith of a child, and becoming more like a child. They really can teach us a lot. It is true. What a good boy you have.
