My daughter Alex at times has a bit of diva tendencies, often even talking in a British accent, no clue where she picked that one up. Lately she often becomes embarrassed by her father.
You see my husband is a very fun loving often silly guy.
Alex will very firmly with all her 6 going on 16 attitude will let him know "Dad you need to be more serious; you should not be so silly it's embarrassing!"
So the other night when their piano teacher, a teenage girl, put this as her facebook status two days after their lessons...
"Watch out! My dad is REALLY funny!"
-Alex
It made me wish I had been a fly on the wall at that moment.
Poor Miss Alex, what is she going to do when she really is a teenager?

Don't forget this upcoming Tuesday will be 10 Things to Smile About This Month!
hahaha! So cute! I sometimes talk in a British accent too. ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, when she's a teen she'll either hide in her room and ignore you guys or she'll just accept that her dad is a fun person and be just fine with it! Either way when she's older she'll look back fondly at how much fun he was when she was growing up.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I can't imagine our kids as teenagers yet, but it sure will be interesting to see what they think of us. :) She one lucky girl though, to have the dad that she does!! (I'm not biased at all!)
ReplyDeleteOh, the teenage years! You're definitely going to be in for an adventure!
ReplyDeleteDads can be embarrassing. Someday....she'll appreciate it and look back on it and smile!
ReplyDeleteSadly, I used to be embarrassed by my parents but my parents are awesome! She'll realize how awesome your husband (and you) are and it'll all be ok :) Until then... oy. ha!
ReplyDeleteMy teenage daughter does the whole British Accent thing too. No idea why either!
ReplyDeleteJust so very Alex! Love that girl.
ReplyDeleteAlex is so cute! Look how much they have changed, since the "10 Things to Smile About,' Button! Wow! :)
