First Day of School

Monday was my kids first day of school.  As the day approached I felt mixed emotions, everywhere from dread to excitement.   My kids, they were just excited.

I heard Alex wake up and say "It's the first day of school!" and jump out of bed.

There was no complaints or moaning about having to get ready, just excitement.

Alex did say her tummy felt a little funny and I said mine did too.

After just a couple of days of school I am already loving not having the mid-day kindergarten pickup.  I didn't realize how much it really makes it nearly impossible to do anything during the day.

And Ryder....  well he didn't want to be left out.

    Amazing photos! We still have 3 weeks to go. Allison seems pretty excited but Ryan not so much.

    How long until Ryder is in kindergarten? Scratch that - you don't want to think about that mid-day pickup right now! :o) Hope they have a great year!

    I'm looking forward to the kids going back to school. It's the whole regular schedule thing that I really like about it.

    Oh my gosh... Back to school already?! That's crazy!! Summers seem to just fly by... Kids here don't go back for another couple of weeks. It makes MY tummy feel funny, and I haven't been in school for over 10 years! haha!! Adorable pictures :) Glad they were excited!!

    Oh I HATED the whole half day kindergarten with my bonus child!! It just seemed like a waste to me.

    For the first time in nearly 13 years of motherhood, I'll have 3 children in full day school. Not sure what I'll do with my time!

    Cute cute kids! I love how you have them holding signs. I always think I'll remember what year was what, but I probably wont. And RYDER!! Ack! SO CUTE!

    Yes, I remember Lucas first year, totally bitter sweet..and once it starts that is it for many many years

    Yes totally! Though I don't know if full day for kinder is a good thing, just annoying for pickup

    Lol-- yes I don't. Next year he will be in preschool a couple of days a week, and then kinder, so yea this is my last year for a couple of years without the mid-day thing
