Old School Blogging: The Fridge

What's on your fridge?  Today I am showing you what's on my fridge as part of Old School Blogging, hosted by Elaine of the Miss Elain-ous life.

In my kitchen all of our appliances are stainless steel... except our fridge.  A fridge didn't come with the house and our last house we had white appliances, so white it is.

This is a typical amount of stuff on our fridge.

Everything from the chart Lucas made this summer with the ways they could earn more screen time.

To some old pictures.

Top one I was barely pregnant with Ryder (not sure why that one seems to have earned a permanent fridge spot)

Though I do with the bottom one- that is the first time that Lucas and Alex met Ryder when he born 8 weeks early.

Then there is the school lunch menu.

Pink are days that Alex buys a lunch, blue for Lucas... she likes a lot more foods than he does.

Some random kid art work- I am a mom after all.

Finally a feelings sign that dates all the way back to my days of working for DCFS (Division of Child and Family Services) in Utah.

I hung this on the metal strip on the front of my cubical and my coworkers and I liked keep an update on our moods; which in our job were definitely all over the place.  I modified and added the "Blah" as that really was just needed one day.

Oh and no, I wasn't feeling enraged when I took this picture, must have been changed by one of my kids when I sent them to their rooms for fighting.

What is on your fridge?

  1. I have that same feelings sign at school (I am a middle school counselor). It is loved by kids & adults alike.

  2. Lots of magnets from our travels--we get a magnet souvenir from the scenic places we visit to remember the trip by. THe side of our fridge is kid central--school schedules and lunch menus, with the olbilgatory kid art work.

And you're lucky your kids will eat school lunch sometimes... I pack EVERY day!

  10. Yes it really is fun to move around and sometimes was a good warning to my co-wokers as to the kind of day I was having

  11. I love that your kids actually use the mood chart. So funny! Isn't it interesting how mich you can tell about a person from their fridge?

  12. That's totally how my fridge looks - only there is a bunch of crapped crammed up on top of it too! I love that your kids changed your feeling to "enraged". That's the best!

  13. You're lucky you've got a white fridge! I didn't realize until I bought one that the stainless steel ones aren't magnetic on the front! We were only able to hang stuff on a small part of the side of ours!

I could really use one of those emotion charts. Then when it said anything other than happy, everyone could leave me alone! :)

  14. I love when the kid art starts hanging off the sides...ours does this too. And then when we open the freezer, crap starts popping off into my face. That is when I know it's time to do a clean sweep. This is awesome.

  15. Our white fridge was the last appliance to die - just replaced with a stainless steel one like the rest of our appliances about a month ago! I love the random pictures that stay on the fridge and the kid chart, and the feelings chart. Awesome fridge!

I have to find a feelings sign for work, how perfect is that? My fridge is bare and if you hop over to my blog you'll find out why.

  20. We have only a few inches above our fridge now because of the cupboard above it, so it helps us not put hardly anything up there

  21. Oh and your blog name shows up with your profile now :)
