Another month is almost over and so it is time for Ten Things to Smile About this Month. This is a monthly meme hosted the last Tuesday of every month where you can look back and find 10 things that made you smile. The linky will be open for two weeks, so plenty of time to link up. Please just add the button to your post and link to your actual post and not just your blog.
Last Tuesday Every Month
Ten Things to Smile About: August
Though at the time I wasn't so sure if this was going to make me smile or not
2. Date Night- burgers at The Habit and a private event night (i.e. no lines!!) at Six Flags
3. Our "
Yes Day" and the fun we had
been working on that post since last year
6. Sweet notes from my daughter
(notice the word "love")
7. Ramp bowling with other preschool friends
8. Beach Trip- and no jelly fish stings this time!
9. My lunch date
10. Daddy piles
What made you smile this month? Linky will be open for two weeks, so plenty of time to join in.

Since it is Tuesday I am linking up with some other great Tuesday meme's. IA and Shawn's Talk to Us Tuesday and Stacy Uncorked's Random Tuesday
Awwwww ok your lunch date made me say that outloud!!!! Oh my goodness he's precious. Well all your kiddos are. Yea...I'll be linking up later this week!
ReplyDeleteI love that picture of Alex on the beach! She is such a little sweetheart to leave you those notes, too!
ReplyDeleteSo are the kids liking their teachers and classes?
That lunch date pic is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteYour Yes Day sounds like fun! And what a handsome lunch date ;)
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun- even more fun than I thought it would be actually. Thank you, I think he is handsome too :)
ReplyDeleteThanks- I think it is a favorite of mine
ReplyDeleteThey are, Alex has the same teacher Lucas did when he was in 1st grade and we love her and she loved Lucas- so win-win. His third grade teacher is awesome too- we are just trying to survive 3rd grade homework which is a ton more and due nightly instead of a weekly packet.
ReplyDeleteYes I wish I could freeze him at the age he is! Well freeze him right after he figures out the whole potty training thing
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Maybe this same teacher will have all three of your kids for first grade at one point or another! :o)
ReplyDeleteLex has never had a teacher do the weekly packet homework style. It does sound like it would be a bit easier to handle that way, especially if one of your nights during the week is much busier than the others!
I LOVE the idea of "YES Day"!! Such a fun idea!! And the picture of that burger made me salivate... mmmm!!
ReplyDeleteI'm forwarding your lunch idea post to my sister!! She's got a picky 7-year-old and I think some of your ideas might be a hit with him! Thanks for putting it together :)
Private event activities are the best! What am awesome date!
ReplyDeleteI smiled right along with you!!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are picture perfect and you have a great photographer! I work for one in SD, so I'm always comparing. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so cute, Emily! Love all these great things you've posted. xo
ReplyDeleteLooks like an incredible month!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a good one, I just can't believe it is almost over!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I started this meme after a really hard month several years ago when I was having a hard time thinking of anything good-- needed to look back and change my perspective.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't just have a great photographer though- I am the photographer, I took those pictures. I am a part-time pro photographer :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! And thank you for linking up, off to read your list now :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Totally the only way to go as so nice not having to hardly wait in line at all
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I hope it helps your sister out. My kids are a bit picky too-espeically when it comes to how they will eat certain foods- i.e. will eat lots of cooked vegetables but not many raw and these are lunches they loved
ReplyDeleteWell then even more compliments to you!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteCasey Starnes
Thank you :)

ReplyDeleteLove all of these great things to smile about! RIght now I am smiling because it is a 3 day weekend - yippee! :)
ReplyDeleteSuch cute pics!! I love Daddy Pile! Well, I love this list.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great things to smile about! I love the ramp bowling. I'm sure Nick wishes we had that when we went bowling last weekend. He had a hard time getting the ball down the lane.
ReplyDeleteYes, Ryder's ball always barely makes it as he doesn't push it hard enough but it always does.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The daddy pile seems to happen a lot in our house
ReplyDeleteYea!! 3 day weekends make me smile too
ReplyDeleteMe too :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is definitely something we are going to do once a year now
