Writer's Block

Ever get writer's block?  Right now I seem to be suffering from it pretty bad.. well kind of.    I am coming up totally empty, yet writing some of the best things of my life.

How is that you ask?

When it comes to this blog, my mind is just blank.  I need to share my pictures from this weekend, but they still are stuck on my camera.   Heck, I even need to tell about our yearly vacation to Utah that happened so many months ago.

Right now, all of my creative juices are going to a book I am writing.

I have always wanted to be an author, starting and never finishing so many books when I was little.

I started my current one a little while ago and then it just kind of sat, but suddenly I am breathing new life into it and it is exciting.  When I have to step away from writing I have felt just like when I can't put down a good book as I want to read what happens next.

Love that feeling.

Don't worry, I am sure I will share little bits and clips with you at some point I just don't think I am ready for that yet.

Right now it is all still so raw and fresh and such a huge part of me that I don't think I dare share it with the world yet; as we all know how the world can be.

I know that everyone won't love it, some may even hate it,  but for right now I am keeping it safe from criticism and the world, only to some day step back and let it go; really very much like motherhood.

So sorry little blog, right now something magical is brewing.

Linking with Shell today.

  2. Don't worry about the blog. I know from experience that they don't even mind being forgotten for a bit. ;) I'm excited to be one of the firsts to peak into your book someday! xoxo

When the writing is flowing, you definitely want to keep going with it!

  13. A YA romance/life story... hard to know exactly how to classify it yet. Here is a little blurb I came up for it last night

“Trisha had it all figured out, her 5 year plan: college, marriage, and starting a family. A betrayal, a broken heart, and an almost worthless college degree and she finds herself on a very different course. She takes a job with the Division of Child and Family Services and soon sees and experiences things she could never really imagine which leaves her questioning who she is and what her life is supposed to become.”

  18. I struggle a bit to blog too, when I'm working on my WIP. They are different types of writing, a different focus and sometimes it's hard to go back and forth. We just have too many words in our head, don't we?! I'm posting tomorrow over and MMW, if you'd like to check it out. :-)

    1. Yes! If my brain is on my book it definitely seems to be the only focus and the only words I can think of at the time and vice versa.

  20. So exciting! A very good friend of mine is seeing her work become published next month and she is so excited, as am I for her! What a dream come true. I am so excited for you and hoe you have all the words you need to finish your book (my problem) and see it published as well. When you come to that point in time, I'd be happy to have her contact you and give you tips and pointers on getting it published, if you would like.
