"It's not fair he doesn't have to clean as much as we do."
"It's not fair!"
To which I respond, "There is nothing unfair about it, you were once young and got to stay home all day; besides he often is sad and misses you guys and always asks when you are going to be home."
"Ryder helps me clean all day when you guys are at school, plus look he is helping right now!"
"There's a Knott Fair? Where? I want to go!" (they love that one!)
So yes, life sometimes seems not fair... and sometimes, well sometimes those who have it good like to rub it in a little.
Yesterday I called Lucas and Alex over to come do their homework. "Oh do we have to?" and the other usual grumbles that come with homework.
"Yes you have to"
At this point Ryder begins running and dancing around the room and singing, yes singing "I get to play now, I get to play now"
Wow, you know, maybe it's not fair.
Don't let his sweet and innocent look fool you! |
Yes, it's those cute & innocent looking ones that you need to watch out for. You never know what they're going to do or what's going on in their little minds.
ReplyDeleteSo so true!
DeleteAs usual...He's "Ryder, The Clever!"
ReplyDeleteYou are right! That name fits him so well!
DeleteOh my goodness he is so cute...ha ha and mischievous!
ReplyDeleteYes, he is clever and sometimes trouble too!
DeleteHahahaha! I love the Knot Fair! I may have to use that one. The youngest always feels the need to rub it in somehow!
ReplyDeleteYes, my husband came up with that one. It drives them crazy :)
DeleteHaha! He's too cute!
ReplyDeleteI hear this from Lexie all the time!
Kids definitely do catch on quickly and catch on how to tease quickly too :)
DeleteSilly boy! He better rub it in while he can because the days are fast approaching when he'll be sitting at the same table with them doing his own homework!
ReplyDeleteYes, he is just asking for it :)
DeleteHaha, his time is coming though... lol. Although the poor older ones just get to experience it first.
ReplyDeleteYep that is what I always try to tell them when they say it isn't fair, that they had days of just playing too.
DeleteOh my look at that adorable face!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I remember these moments with my own brothers!
ReplyDeleteLove that it continues on and on!
lol, I love it! There really is only a short while that they will envy him. In just a few short years he'll be wishing he could drive like the big kids.
ReplyDeleteHa! If he only know what was coming his way in the future.
ReplyDeleteI know! He is going to be in it all before he knows it
