Christmas Card Pictures

I had all these grand ideas for Christmas card pictures this year.  But time just kept ticking and ticking on.  Finally yesterday, I insisted upon it getting done.

Have I ever said how much easier it is for me to take pictures of other people's kids?  My kids just don't always like to listen to me.

Plus, combine the fact that I am a natural light photographer, but decided to bust out my very old studio lighting that a friend gave me... and well I might have had a little melt down mid-session.  Thankfully, I got myself together and in the end got several shots that are definitely Christmas card worthy... now just to make the cards, get them printed and actually mail them off!

I present you with "Deck the....Kids"

Now help me decide which ones I should use!  I am thinking silly pictures outside, serious inside... but yea, time to get the card made.

P.S. Don't forget still time to link up with Week 2 of the Review Extravaganza

  1. I love, love, love that last photo. Definitely do a fun and a serious photo. I include our cat each year (and I'll be sharing our photos in a few days - cards go out today!) I paid someone to take our photos and I'm so glad I did. Lucas does NOT listen to me anymore when it comes to photos!

    1. Yes! We at first were trying to decorate the little tree for the pictures which would lead to them decorating each other but Ryder wanted nothing to do with it at first.. so I literally gave up, said forget it, then about 20 minutes later we tried again with a different approach and it worked.

  2. Oh my, I love the last three! They are gorgeous! There is also something to be said about the first ones, they might not be "perfect" but they show siblings having such a great time together. I love getting cards like that. I"m no help at all.

    1. Lol! No worries, I couldn’t decide either, so I found a great card design that I could use them all. The silly ones on the front and the two light ones inside.

  3. I'm so glad you did the ones with the Christmas lights in front of the kids! When I saw that pin on Pinterest, I knew it would be perfect for ya'll! {Doesn't have quite the same effect with only one kid...}

    My favorite of all of these is the one in B&W. Everyone looks so natural in that one. I'm sure it's beautiful in color, too!

    1. Thanks! One of my favorites too. I have decided I definitely like natural light photography a lot better, or need to get better studio lights or know how to work them better, i had my ISO cranked on these pictures
