Old School Blogging: Holiday Edition

Don't forget, tomorrow is the last day to link up with Week 2 of the Review Extravaganza!  It isn't too late to jump in and just recap the first 6 months with us now.

I am linking with Elaine and this month Kir for some Old School Blogging- a Holiday Edition.

First things first: 1 Holy Night or 8 Crazy Ones? (Do you Celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, both?)
  Christmas here

Peppermint or Chocolate?
Chocolate for sure! I actually am not really a candy cane fan

Sing us into the Holiday Season, what is your favorite Carol this time of year?
I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas.... which is ironic since I live in SoCal now and well don't really want a white Christmas

Tell us about a Favorite Family or Personal Holiday Tradition
I think it has to be our Christmas Eve traditions; we read the true Christmas story to the light of a fireplace and then drink hot chocolate (or egg nog) and open Christmas Eve pajamas
Look at this adorable picture from TWO years ago
C’mon you remember your favorite  (Christmas, Hanukkah) gift, tell us all about it:
I think it would have to be my bike when I was about 9 years old. I really wanted a new one, as I had been using my brother's old junky bike which was now too small.  I remember coming into the family room Christmas morning and didn't see a bike so said, well I guess I didn't get it.  Only to have everyone laugh as right in front of the tree, covered only by a sheet was obviously my bike.

That magical moment? (Your favorite scene from a Holiday movie…it’s okay if you have 2)
You know it has been a while since I have watched any Holiday movies, but in most there is always that moment when the two main characters realize they are in love, always love that moment. Honestly drawing a blank on any specifics

Kissing under the mistletoe?  Who do you hope is standing underneath (We know it’s normally your spouse, if it did not have to be, who would you choose?)
Honestly even the thought of kissing someone else totally weirds me out.  I guess I had better hope nothing ever happens to Eric as I can't imagine kissing anyone else.

Swans a swimming, lords a leaping, golden rings; which gift of the 12 days of Christmas would you like most?
Golden rings for sure; not really a gold fan but could easily sell these and get something I really want.

Play Secret Santa, what inappropriate gift would you love to give this year?
Probably gift myself a little something to wear, which would actually be a gift for my husband.

Martha Stewart or the Grinch? What is your decorating style? (Pictures would be awesome!)
Martha Stewart- have three trees and decorations everywhere

What is ONE WORD that defines the holiday season for you? (Examples: Believe/Wonder/Bah Humbug?)
Savior-  without the birth of our Savior there would be no Christmas season

If Santa could assure its delivery, what’s the first thing on your holiday wish LIST?
   A Canon 5D Mark iii

What would be on your wish list?

  3. Three trees?!? That is amazing! We open Pj's on Christmas Eve too. The kids are always so funny about it and say thing like, "Hmmm, I wonder what this could possibly be?" Great list!

  4. What a fun Christmas link-up! Loved reading your answers!! I have several favourite scenes from holiday movies - but most especially, when the little girl in Miracle on 34th Street (old version) spots the house she asked Santa for for Christmas and they find his cane hanging on the banister inside... And also when everyone starts singing and Santa's sleigh starts to fly in Elf (I always feel silly when it chokes me up!)

  5. I love the idea of having more than one tree, but my house is far too small to pull that one off. As a kid we always got Christmas Eve pjs and I'm continuing the tradition. I love knowing that other families do it too. This year I have Hello Kitty pjs which my girls think are "adorable."

  9. We have several Christmas movie we watch every year. It's not thought of as a holiday movie, but I love While You Were Sleeping. The wedding scene is so fun--I am in love with your son/Not that one, that one. Just great.
Christmas eve jammies are becoming tradition here too.

  10. I'd be happy to get that camera from Santa as well! And if he threw in a couple lenses, that would be even sweeter! ;o) Maybe if I'm good enough next year....

Three Christmas trees!?! I think that makes you even BETTER than Martha Stewart!
