My Choice to Believe

Two days of peace, two days of knowledge, inspiration, and calls to do better.

As I listened to LDS general conference,  I kept hearing the word choice.  The choice to pick faith, the choice to obey, the choice to enjoy the rain before looking for the rainbow.
We are able to make a choice, we need to make a choice.

As the world's morals continue to turn, flip and flop every direction with the wind, we are going to have to choose to stand firm, to choose where we stand, what we know is right.

It will no longer be enough to just stand idly hiding and harboring in our own homes as the winds howl around us.  Slowly chipping away, eroding all that is good and true.  We have to physically choose.   To choose to stand strong, even to choose to face the winds head on at times, saying enough is enough.

It will be hard at times, it will be unpopular at times but if we know it is right then we have to do it.

It will be hard but it is through those hard times, those times where we are carrying a load that we grow

Today I choose, I choose to believe, I choose to let my light shine, I choose to show more kindness, to look out for those around me, I choose to know that there is an eternal truth, a rock that we can build on.  I choose to not give up, to not lose hope, to turn it all over to my Savior Jesus Christ when I just cannot do it (which is pretty much all the time).

I choose and I will not back down.
Even as I type this my heart races as I know by drawing the line there will be opposition as there is always opposition to truth.

But it is time, time to replace fear with faith, time to choose.
I made my choice.

    1. Yes, what makes you happy and especially what you know what is right, as if you just leave it at what makes you happy then you never will really be happy.
