The Mormon Superbowl

I think everyone has those few things in life they get really excited about; things they anticipate and can't wait for, things they count down the days for.   For some it is the Super Bowl, for others might be the Sweet 16, or even to see who gets the final rose.   Whatever it may be, we all have our thing.

For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or the Mormons- it is General Conference.

This is a weekend that happens twice a year (in April and October) that is kind of like our super bowl of spirituality.   It is our chance to listen to the Prophet, Apostles and other wonderful and motivational speakers.

Plus so so many more.  It is a weekend that will help me remember what really matters, what is really important in life.  A weekend that will help me want to be a little kinder, a little more considerate, a little more gentle and charitable with those around me.  

It is a weekend of peace.
