Old School Blogging: Five Unknown Things

For this month's Old School Blogging, hosted by Elaine and this month Nicole of Moments that Define Life we are supposed to share 5 things that people might not know about us.  When you have been blogging for almost 6 years (will be 6 years on the 23rd of this month), it starts to seem like there probably isn't anything you don't know about me, but I'll try.

1. My freshmen year of college I thought I was going to graduated in communications, specifically public relations.  I was even part of the Student Public Affairs society.  But after one class which my grade started off good then quickly turned awful, I decided Public Affairs was not for me.
Now 15 years later I am serving as my Stake Public Affairs Social Media Specialist for my church for my entire city.  I guess Public Affairs is once again for me.

2. If you have read my blog for a while, or know me than you know this-- but if you are new.. I had open heart surgery when I was 5-years-old.  I actually have what is called Shone's Syndrome.  Thankfully my surgery at 5 was a huge success and I have been fine ever since.

3. I am the 5th of 6 kids.  I loved growing up in a big family, though most of my older siblings went gone off to college when I was still in grade school, so it often didn't seem nearly as big as it was.

4. I have never drank alcohol, never smoked or never tried drugs in my life and never plan too.  It is probably a good thing too as I definitely have more of an addictive personality; just ask my husband about how much I play some of the silly games on my iPad.

5. I really am not that neat of a person.  Thankfully my husband is really clean and his influence has rubbed off on me over the years.  I am scared to think what my home would look like if I were married to a slob.

So there ya go, did you know those things?  Tell me something about you that I might not know.

  3. Something I didn't know about you until I met you in person: you are not short. I always assumed you were because of how monsterously tall your husband is. But you aren't short. Which really put his heights into perspective. :) and from the looks of it, Lucas seems to be following suit!

  4. Public affairs? How did I not know that…I declared Statistics as my major at first. Ha! I'll leave that to Raelynn. :)

  5. In reference to #4, you also do not drink caffeine, right? I think this makes you the healthiest person I know. ;)

I'm not surprised you're the social media specialist for your church - that is so up your alley! I bet you do a great job!

  6. Can I be a neat person with clutter? Probably not. I like things tidy but I tend to pile things, like stacks of paper. I have a hard time throwing things away. What if I need them?

  7. My husband and I are both messy. It's a battle all. the. time to keep things clean with our home. I have to force myself on the daily to just get it done - but I loathe the process. :) And, that picture is all kinds of adorable!

  9. *puts head down because my post is about my ugly vest wearing and how I had my first drink at 13* dang it.
I'm the oldest of 5 so I had a reason to...probably set a good example for...the younger ones...dang it. Man, I'm digging a massive hole.

    1. Lol- hey we all have to live our lives and no one is perfect. I did plenty of other bad things I shouldn’t have- what matters is who we are now and who are are trying to be.
