Five Thoughts
1. Love Monday holidays as the week seems to fly by (and I get to hang out with my friends like Lourie on the day off) but hate it, as Tuesday makes a way worse Monday then Monday usually is.
2. I am loving the Best Of the Blogosphere link up, I have been able to find some new blogs this way and I love finding those bloggers out there that are still just telling their story. Make sure you link up your favorite post from the week (any kind of post will do) for a chance to be featured!
3. Tuesday night I spoke at a big Public Affairs meeting. I serve as our regional Public Affairs Social Media Specialist for my church. I admit I was a bit nervous going into it, but I heard nothing but great praise and thanks afterwards.
4. I love wrapping up in a blanket at night to watch TV.. problem is that often makes me so comfortable I end up dozing off. Oh well, can't give up my blanket!
5. Yesterday Eric was gone all day for work (he flew up to San Jose for the day). Alex was coughing some in the morning, but seemed well enough to send to school at least. When she came home after school and sounded a little worse, I decided a two-hour basketball practice was probably not the best idea. Right about the time I would have dragged all three kids to her practice, Ryder fell asleep on the couch. I woke him up when dinner was ready and he was burning up 102.3 fever! We will see what today holds.

What is your Friday Five this week?
Mmmm, that last picture looks yummy! I've been putting avocado on my salads this week - I'd forgotten how avocado can make even something as boring as lettuce taste delicious! :) Hope the kids stay healthy over the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAvocado really does make things taste better! Ryder seems to be doing a little better today, still has a fever just not as high and more perky. Alex is still coughing but nothing bad enough to keep her home yet.
DeleteHappy Friday! Sounds like you had a full week. I need to check out Best of the Blogosphere. Sounds super cool. Beautiful sunset, by the way. I'm so ready for spring.
ReplyDeleteYes you definitely should! Fun way to have others be able to see your favorite post from the week
DeleteHope everyone feels better soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Me too! Ryder took a good two hour nap today, still has a fever but just a low one.
DeleteI hope everyone is healed up soon! It's so hard to watch our sick little ones. My son and hubby have been coughing for over a month now. There is a lot of sickness going around. Love the pictures! That sunset is gorgeous :).
ReplyDeleteYes, it is the worst! I hate that winter cough that seems to last forever.
DeleteOh, yes, Tuesday Mondays are worse than Monday Mondays! Mine this week was... just no fun! But, here it is Friday, and I get to sleep in tomorrow. Yay! I've been sick this week and had to take off to go to the doctor. I get everything the kids bring to school with them, and I've got a lot of sick kiddos right now. Pretty sunset!
ReplyDeleteI think I totally spaced linking up last week, at least I remembered this morning. Hope Ryder's fever passed and everyone is feeling better. Loved the photo of your sunset.
ReplyDeleteNo problem! I know once I hit a certain time of the day on Friday all is lost as I go into total weekend mode.
DeleteOh yikes, poor kiddo. Hope everyone is feeling better. We've all had colds and coughs that have lingered for far too long. Pretty much most of January!
ReplyDeleteI hate when they linger so long, it is so annoying! They are all better-ish, that darn cough just keeps sticking around
DeleteYou have a trolly at the mall... interesting! and what is a Public Affairs Social Media Specialist?
ReplyDeleteYes our mall is an outdoor mall, so there is a trolly that goes around from one side to the other, just on the weekends though.
DeleteAs the Public Affairs Social Media specialist, I help build bridges and relationships with our church and our community. Help with inter-faith service projects, just help build friendships and relationships with those in the community. There is a lot of weird and incorrect information about Mormons out there, so we want to just help build friendships and help people realize that oh wait, I know some Mormons they are nice people.
I run a Facebook page for the church in our area and share news articles, information that pertains to the members of the church in our community.
