Friday Five: Furniture, Clouds and Procrastination

It's Friday and a three day weekend, doesn't get much better then that!  What are your weekend plans?  Oh plus, I would love help figuring out how to refinish my latest thrift store find (see the first comment).  Happy Friday everyone!  #Friday5

1. This week I had another great score at the same thrift store.  This time a dresser that is going to go in our hallway to hold the extra blankets and pillows for when guests come, and it was only $30!  Now I am just trying to figure out how I want to refinish it, I am kind of liking the wood actually and think I may keep it, just want to make the hardware more silver color and maybe distress it all a bit.  Would love any suggestions (see the piece below)

2. It actually cooled off this week, which was wonderful, but it made it a bit too cold to go swimming Wednesday night with ladies from church.  Instead we all just hung out and visited but it was still an awesome night.

3. Sometimes when I have the most stuff to get done, I do nothing...  which means today is total crunch time for me getting ready for our weekend getaway.

4. Ryder moved up a to blue (one step above green which means good behavior) at school twice this week!  I am so proud of how well he is doing and so happy he loves school.

5.I spent a lot of time on Pinterest yesterday, such an awful wonderful time suck.  Might be part of the reason I am having to do all of the packing today.

    That dresser is cool. If it's solid wood, you could sand and re-stain. That would be pretty. I love your painted furniture too though!! Definitely easier than sanding. :)

    That dresser is awesome. I'm definitely not a designer/decorator, so I have no good ideas about what to do with it. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be awesome.
